What Makes Gateway different from other Warranty Providers?
We are the only company to operate exclusively in the Leisure Industry. We have a unique understanding of this sector and a nationwide support network available to our customers.
How do I make a Claim?
It is easy. Simply follow these steps:
- Call our claims line number 0844 576 2255 to speak to our claims manager.
- When calling, make sure you have your policy number and personal details to hand.
- We will identify the nearest nominated repairer for you and can contribute £50 towards the cost of recovering your Caravan to be repaired, should you not have membership of a recovery organisation.
- Having assessed the problem, the repairer will deal directly with our claims department to progress your claim.
What does a Gateway Warranty Provide?
Quite simply, it is designed to contribute toward the cost of repair or replacement when a covered part breaks. Parts coverage is extremely extensive beginning with manufactured seams and joints (which can leak) and extending to covering internal appliances - for example fridge and cooker (and for Holiday Homes, internal fixtures and fittings as well). Touring caravan warranty can even contribute £100 toward overnight hotel accommodation if a failure leaves you stranded when you are away from home. For full details of coverage, please see the relevant policy document.
What does a Gateway Warranty not Cover?
The most significant exclusions are: Impact or accidental damage; wear and tear; damage caused by corrosion or lack of proper servicing; improper use of your caravan; damage caused by neglect or abuse; faults which existed on the caravan prior to inception of the Policy; consequential damage; TV, music, communications equipment and sat nav; batteries, wheels and tyres; paintwork, exterior trim and glass (Holiday Home polices are separately subject to a £50 excess on claims).
Why do I need an Extended Warranty when I already have Insurance?
An Extended Warranty is specifically designed to pay toward the cost of repair or replacement of parts of your caravan which suffer sudden failure (stop working).

Liability insurance is concerned with a different kind of risk; usually centred on external causes such as accident, storm, fire or flood for example.
Can I cancel my Policy?
Yes. If, on receipt of your documentation, you decide you do not want an Extended Warranty after all, you will have 14 days in which to cancel cover. Provided there are no claims outstanding or paid in that time you will be entitled to a full refund of the premium you have paid.
